Your company can have as many directors as it wants, but at least one of them must be local. If you don’t have anyone who can play the part, hire a nominee director. For example, there could be two directors: you and the nominee. If you apply for an Employment Pass through your new employer, you only need the nominee service while you wait (about 6 months). After that, you can be the sole director.
