A nominee director is someone appointed to act as a company’s director on behalf of another person or entity, usually to fulfill a legal requirement or to maintain anonymity.

Every company in Singapore must have at least one director who is a Singapore Citizen, a Singapore Permanent Resident, or a holder of an Employment Pass. To comply with Singapore law, foreign entrepreneurs and business owners who do not have such a director will typically use Nominee Director Services.
